Scannt noch nicht automatisch. Nimmt aber z.B. Dateien via Drag'n'Drop und Zwischenablage (Kopieren und Einfügen) entgegen, spielt MPEG+AVI Videoclips, Filtert, et cetera. Hat auch schon einige Partys beschallt. Vorhören per Kopfhörer, rudimentäre Anzeige von Liedertexten. Bzgl. Optik, Funktionalität und Bedienungskomfort wird hier noch einiges gemacht. Auch der Options-Dialog ist in der 0.71 noch sehr lückenhaft.

Testplatformen (derzeit):

Irgendwann begann auch ich alle meine CD und auch einige Vinyls zu rippen und in den unendlichen Weiten meiner Datenspeicher zu archivieren. Doch die Suche nach einem geeigneten Player endete bislang immer mit Kompromissen.

Zum Einen brauchte ich für einen Bekannten (und auch für mein Wohnzimmer) eine wirklich einfach zu bedienende Jukebox, die möglichst auch Album-Covers als Bilder anzeigen kann, vorkonfigurierbare und freie Filter hat, einfach zu bedienende Suchfunktion, mehrere Playlisten erlaubt welche komfortabel im Zugriff sind (ohne immer zwangsweise den FileOpen-Dialog) ...

Zum Anderen sollte der Player aber möglichst auch Party-tauglich sein. Also Vorhören per Kopfhörer, Mixen, Jingles, am besten noch Liedertexte anzeigen (z.B. auf 2. Monitor oder Beamer für Karaoke) ...

Was bleibt da einem gelangweilten Softwerker als sich was eigenes zu programmieren.

Once a time in the 90th I began to rip all my CDs and also some vinyls to archive them into the infinite deep of my data storages. But choice of a good player software which fits all of my requirements ever comes up with compromises.

For the one I need a easy to use jukebox for a friend (and also for my living room), with a track lib, a playlist and the capability for filtering tracks (as a alternative for a search dialog).

But the player should also be able to myke music when the party goes on. So features like mixing, prelistening of tracks (using a headphone), displaying of song lyrics (e.g. of a 2nd screen or beamer for a karaoke party) are a must.

Ok, so I think thats a job for a software worker as am I.
